Several thousand non-recyclable, not bio-degradable Mylar strips were attached by hand, in a variety of patterns to 20 feet of double-sided adhesive film and then hand carried to France where it was cut and attached to two shapely dead trees.

As part of a cultural exchange with Angers, France, I created a sculptural installation in which I "tailored" two graceful dead trees with thousands of strips of Mylar, salvaged from shipping envelopes. The coupling of dead trees and the eternal nature of plastic, a result of over-consumerism, might remind us that "Amazon" is a reference to a region being deforested at a life-threatening rate
