María Rún Þrándardóttir
María Rún Þrándardóttir focuses on time related art, more specifically video art and performance, and often combines the two. Aspects of playfulness, symbolism, vulnerability, poetry, body and feelings can always be found in her works. María has a background degree in fine arts from the Iceland University of the Arts and recently graduated with an interdisciplinary Nordic master degree in Environmental Change in Higher Latitudes from the University of Helsinki where she created multiple art works inspired by atmospheric science. In fact, the artist often takes inspiration from environmental issues or science, folk stories and feminism.
