A neurodivergent, Mad-identified, formerly homeless high school dropout, Jillian’s diverse life experiences shape her unique artistic voice. Jillian studied Media Arts at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, and Cinematography and Fine Art at Minneapolis College. In 2024, she graduated with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Painting from Edinburgh College of Art. Jillian’s current practice focuses on slow stitching, using needle and thread to create Metaphorical Cells—symbols of resilience and recovery. Her work reflects themes of survival, resistance, and healing, inviting viewers to consider their own inner resilience.
