Ines Montalvao (PT) has been based in Helsinki since the beginning of 2017, where she worked at Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre as Concept & Experience designer. She develops exhibitions and works as consultant and facilitator in co-creation workshops and concept design at international level. She currently focuses her creative practice in the field of Art-Science: with a degree in biology and a passion for art, she combines both, exploring cross-disciplinary approaches, storytelling, illustration and innovative ways to create meaningful experiences. All this comes from an enthusiastic and dreamy way of being. She is a member of Ninho Kulttuurikeskus Ry and has participated in four editions of Kolibrí Festivaali. She is also a member of G.A.P. (Globe Art Point) Creatives database, the International Society of Female Professionals (ISFP) and the Finnish Bioart Society. In 2020, she co-founded Mandarina Collective, a group with focus on art & science with a multicultural, diverse and inclusive approach to its performances, workshops and exhibitions. She is also co-founder of project Lingua Plantae that aims to develop a shared language between humans and plants, through biodata sonification and sound curation. On May 1, 2023 she started as Program Director at Artists with Evidence.
