My photo career spans fifty years. I began as a commercial still life photographer in NYC, have won awards from the Art Directors Club of NYC & NJ, Andy Awards, Print’s Regional Design Annual, Art direction Magazine, Communication Arts and others. After thirty years in NYC, I opened a studio near my hometown of Woodstock, N.Y. During the past twenty years, I have become immersed in the natural world and have published one book on Mushrooms, THE GLORIOUS MUSHROOM and am in the process of finalizing the formatting of my second mushroom book, MUSHROOMS EXPOSED. Along with the mushroom books, I published a photo book on utopianism using the Burning Man festival and The Woodstock Maverick festivals as examples of art-driven Utopias. Along with my profound curiosity for all things science, this curiosity naturally encompasses the most social of all creatures on our planet, humans.
