I’m committed to authentically conveying the unique stories of my subjects, fascinated by highly detailed environments, and curious about the people who share my city. In 2019, I began photographing Highland Park's small businesses, aiming to document every store. The pandemic shifted everything, revealing the collapse of livelihoods in this vibrant neighborhood. I’m compelled to honor our collective experience against the changing urban landscape. "Art Happens Anywhere" (2020) showcased life-sized digital panoramas of diverse Glendale shop owners. In 2021, I began a five-year project along Route 66, combining photos and conversations to craft a contemporary visual and oral history. This perspective on Americana encourages participation, commemorating Route 66's centennial and our nation's complicated legacy. My journey uncovers shared experiences in our multi-ethnic society. With each project, I celebrate differences and embrace similarities that bind us. Through preserving heritage and sparking open discussions, I aim to foster unity among all Americans.
