Alexandre Delmar
Alexandre Delmar (Porto, 1982) is a photographer and videographer. He lives and works between the city of Porto and the village of Lagoa, in Trás-os-Montes, Portugal. In the exchange between photography, video, sound, drawing, text, and installation, we can identify an aggregating core, around which all his projects seem to revolve: "places of relationship and communication" among the animal, vegetable, and mineral world; "places of recovery" where the modes and dynamics of the primordial, the ancient, the ancestral, the mythic, and the magical are reflected; "places of contrast and contemplation", architecture and landscape, the built and the fractal, the urban and the rural. Alexandre Delmar's work claims the genetic code of the intersection between the ways of being and acting of humans and the ways of being and existing of the Earth.
